You know where we are... We're in the Jungle (& Bolivia) baby

http://fliessouth.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/you-know-where-we-are-we-in-jungle.html

Bolivia, where to start... We didn't have much of an image in our heads of what Bolivia would be like, but knew it was bloody cheap, and actually, having no expectations can often be the best approach to new territory. It was also our country of choice for heading into the Amazon jungle. Sick.

Heapsa´ Water and Face-Melting Steak & Red Wine - Argentina

http://fliessouth.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/heapsa-water-and-face-melting-steak-red.html

The second half of month one has been much more travel packed, fuelled by a desire to get to warmer and cheaper climes (having found ourselves a tad over budget from pricey Brazil and Argentina). But nevertheless, we've managed to tick off one of our first of the seven wonders, tangoed in an old cathedral in BA, pedalled around wine country, and whipped up 2300km via 4 back to back buses en route to Bolivia.

Promenading around Porto and Blowouts in Brazil

Here it is, the first of, I hope, many blog posts over the course of the next ten months. We´ll be rattling through places faster than you´d expect, but we´ll be sure to keep this thing updated.

First up was a quick one-night stop over in Porto, Portugal. It seems relatively left out of typical city break circles but unjustifiably. It´s a beautiful riverside city with plenty to see, eat & drink. One of the biggest wins is price. We could sip 2 euro demi-beers on the riverfront, and a bottle of wine at a restaurant in a primely located square was just 5 euros. There aren´t many Western European cities you can get prices like that now, so we´d highly recommend scoping it out.
